Why are we selling?
We purchased this beautiful property in 2022, spent a year building & renovating, then led a year-long live-in training school for meditation, cacao, and other therapeutic modalities. After our students graduated, our priorities shifted away from being in San Marcos year-round. This space deserves to be used to its full potential, and we are no longer the best owners for it. Maybe YOU are! :)
What are the zoning laws?
This property is zoned for both residential and commercial. It can be operated as a private home residence, as a rental business, a restaurant, hotel, retreat center, etc.
Can non-Guatemalans buy?
Yes, we ourselves are not Guatemalan citizens. We legally purchased the property as a 'Sociedad Anonima' (business entity like an LLC), and the business can easily be transferred to the next owner.
Is furniture included?
Yes, all furniture, bedding, dining ware, kitchen appliances, washer & dryer, yoga & meditation mats, and overall decor are included. The large dining table, custom made out of Guatemalan Guanacaste wood, is truly a work of art designed by a local craftsman.
